Lombok Airport to Sembalun Transfer — Rinjani Trek
Sembalun is the eastern gateway to Mount Rinjani and the usual starting point for the summit trek. It is a long climb by road into the highlands, so trekkers normally book a car for a very early start or the afternoon before their briefing.

Prices are per vehicle and include everything above. Nothing is paid in advance — you pay your driver on arrival. A small surcharge applies for pick-ups between 22:00 and 05:00. Return trips receive a 10% discount.

- Tell us on WhatsApp if you want the driver to keep a bag while you trek and we will arrange it with your guesthouse.
About Sembalun (Rinjani)
The last hour winds uphill into a broad valley of vegetable and garlic fields ringed by ridges, with Rinjani rising above. Temperatures up here are noticeably cooler than on the coast, so keep a layer in your daypack rather than in your main luggage.
Trek permits and guides are arranged through the national park and local operators, not by us. If you have not booked one yet, your guesthouse in Sembalun can usually help.
Common questions
How long is the drive?
Around 2 hr 50 min for about 98 km, and the last part is mountain road.
Can you pick us up again after the trek?
Yes. Many trekkers finish at Senaru instead of Sembalun, so book the return from wherever you come down and we will be there.
Is a 3 am departure possible?
Yes. Night departures carry a small surcharge that is shown before you book.
