Bangsal is the harbour most travellers use for Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air. It is the longest of the common airport runs, up the west coast and around the north-west corner of the island, so a private car with a fixed price and a driver who knows the harbour makes the day much easier.

About Bangsal Harbour (Gili Islands)
Public boats to the three Gili islands leave from Bangsal during daylight hours and go when they are full, so an early start from the airport gives you the best chance of a smooth crossing. Fast boats and private charters run on fixed schedules and can be arranged in advance.
The harbour area is busy and porters will offer to carry your bags for a tip. Agree on a price first, or simply carry your own — the walk from the car park to the boats is short.

Public boats stop in the late afternoon. For an evening arrival, most guests stay one night on the mainland or arrange a private boat — message us and we will help you plan it.
